What do hiking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, singing, performing, sleeping on air craft carriers, submarines, and in museums, launching water rockets and building race cars, shooting BB-guns and bow and arrows ... oh and personal development and learning leadership skills have in common? They are all things we do in Cub Scouts.
We're having an our 1st pack meeting September 16th at 7PM at the New North Hillsborough School MPR where you can find out more about the Pack and meet some of the Pack leaders.
If you are ready to join, we will have all of the forms necessary to participate.
Besides the rank badges (Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos) there are a number of other awards that your scouts can earn. Some of these are listed here.
Academics and Sports Program
In this program a scout can earn belt loops and pins for demonstrating knowledge and ability in a variety of areas. There are 17 different academic topics such as Art, Chess, Computers, and Music. There are 23 different sports areas including Soccer, Bicycling, and Marbles. For more information about this program including the requirements for each area see this link.
